Vol. 237 No. 6

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork Estate.

101.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Stanley estate at Ballinascarthy, Skibbereen, County Cork, has been fully acquired and distributed among the small farmers in that area of west Cork.

Proceedings for compulsory acquisition of some 440 acres on this estate have reached the stage where an objection lodged on behalf of the owners has been disallowed — following a public hearing last May. The question of the price to be paid for this area now falls to be settled and a report on market value is being prepared.
