Vol. 237 No. 13

Written Answers. - County Wexford Estate.

173.

asked the Minister for Lands whether it is the intention of the Land Commission to acquire for sub-division the Mooney estate at Fardystown, Killinick, County Wexford.

Following a recent inspection of this property on the ground, the Land Commission have decided not to move for its purchase—the estate being considered unsuitable under the headings of quality and character for the purpose of the Land Acts. I understand that agreement on price has been reached for the purchase by the Land Commission of an adjacent 40-acre holding which will be devoted to the relief of such congestion as exists in the locality.
