The limit of £700 gross margin set for eligibility to participate in the Small Farm (Incentive Bonus) Scheme represents the threshold of viability as envisaged by the Two-Tier Milk Price Study Group. It is not my intention at present to alter the limit.
As I have previously indicated, however, I shall be carrying out a full review of the scheme at the end of its first year of operation.
