Vol. 243 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Medical Teaching Centre.

19.

asked the Minister for Health if it is the firm intention of his Department to provide for the establishment, in association with the federated hospitals, of a medical teaching centre to be located at St. Kevin's Hospital site, Dublin.

If, as I hope, the negotiations involving the Federated Dublin Voluntary Hospitals and Dublin Health Authority proceed to a satisfactory conclusion a major general hospital will be developed on the St. Kevin's Hospital site. I have presumed that medical teaching would appropriately be carried on in a hospital of this kind but the extent of the facilities required has yet to be worked out.
