Vol. 245 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork Dispensary Doctor.

4.

asked the Minister for Health if he will appoint a dispensary doctor to cater for the Glanmire, Glounthane, Little Island and Knockgraha areas in County Cork.

It is presumed that the question relates to the Riverstown dispensary district and to the appointment of a resident dispensary doctor.

I understand that the Cork Health Authority were unable to appoint a dispensary doctor resident in the district for the period up to the introduction of the new general medical service with choice of doctor and that, mean-while, the authority regards the service provided for eligible persons under the present temporary arrangements as satisfactory.
