Vol. 254 No. 3

Questions—Ceisteanna. Oral Answers. - County Cavan School.

14.

(Cavan) asked the Minister for Education if he is aware that the promised repairs have not yet been carried out to Milltown national school, Belturbet, County Cavan; that there are no heating facilities whatever in the school; that the play-yard is dangerous; and that the toilets are primitive; if he will explain the delay in having these matters attended to; and if he will make a statement regarding the present school, the proposed repairs to it and the provision of a new school.

Rather than carry out temporary repair works on the existing school I have asked the Commissioners of Public Works to include the new school at Milltown in their priority list for the current financial year. This they have agreed to do.
