The number of redundancies notified under the Redundancy Payments Acts to my Department for the year ended 31st March. 1973, was 9,598. The number of redundancies notified for the year ended 31st March, 1972, was 9,334. The numbers on the live register on 30th March, 1973, compared to 30th March, 1972, were as follows:—
