The document to which the Deputy has referred contains proposals for a reform of apprenticeship. AnCO have circulated the document to all parties concerned and will be discussing the proposals with them before arriving at final decisions.
When introducing the 1973-74 Estimates for my Department on 15th May last, I stated that I considered the proposals in the document to be reasonable and worthwhile. I suggested that they should be carefully studied by all Deputies and I said that I would welcome any reasonable counterpoints or other recommendations regarding them that members might care to make.
