Vol. 267 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Corporation and Company Tax.

3.

asked the Minister for Finance the present position with regard to the EEC proposals to harmonise the systems of corporation and company tax.

It was stated, in November last, in paragraph 493 of the White Paper on Company Taxation in Ireland, Prl. 2628, that the Commission of the European Communities would, in the coming months, present proposals on the problem of the international double taxation of dividends and on certain aspects of the structure of corporation tax. These proposals are still awaited.
