Vol. 267 No. 12

Written Answers. - Dingle Harbour Facilities.

288.

asked the Minister for Finance if it is intended to have further plans drawn up for a more extensive dredging and deepening of the channel in Dingle harbour, County Kerry; and if a new landing wharf and berthage will be established there in view of the tendency of the fishermen to use larger boats.

The Commissioners of Public Works have been asked to make a feasibility study of proposals for additional dredging in the approach channel and berthage area of Dingle harbour. This study will be reported on shortly to the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries. The commissioners are not aware of any proposals for a new landing wharf.
