asked the Minister for Justice the steps he intends to take to enforce the speed limit regulations at Bunting Road, Walkinstown, County Dublin.
With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 5 and 6 together.
During the 12-month period commencing on 22nd January, 1973, five prosecutions were taken for breaches of the speed limit regulations at Bunting Road. In 12 cases where drivers were found exceeding the limit by only a very small margin warnings were given.
I am informed by the Garda that the enforcement of the speed limit regulations on this road receives a good deal of attention from mobile units and that radar checks are carried out there at frequent intervals.
