Vol. 272 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Killarney Dangerous Junctions.

33.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether Killarney UDC or Kerry County Council have proposals for traffic lights and pedestrian crossings on the dangerous junctions near the Mercy Convent and at the Market Cross in Killarney town; and the cause of the delay in carrying out the work.

Kerry County Council propose to erect the traffic signals at these two junctions and to meet the cost from Road Fund grant allocations. While it appears that last year's allocations did not enable this to be done, it is open to them to consider financing the proposals in the current year.

Will this be done shortly?

It is up to Kerry County Council.
