Vol. 276 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Walkinstown (Dublin) Sub-Post Office.

34.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware of the need for a new sub-post office in the Greenhills/Limekiln Farm area of Walkinstown, Dublin, in view of the increased number of houses in this area.

The position remains as stated in the replies which I gave on 22nd May, 1973, and 14th March, 1974, to previous similar questions from the Deputy. Housing development in the area has not reached the stage where an additional sub-post office would be justified. The position will be kept under review as development proceeds.

Would the Parliamentary Secretary ask the Minister to have a look at this again or consult with the Minister for Local Government when he will find out that housing is developing at very rapid rate in this area.

As I indicated in the reply, the position will be kept under review.
