asked the Minister for Local Government the up-to-date position in regard to the proposed Churchtown sewerage scheme, Mallow, County Cork.

I approved the appointment of a consulting engineer in March last to prepare a new preliminary report for this scheme. I understand that this report is currently being examined by the local authority.

asked the Minister for Local Government if proposals for sewerage schemes have been submitted to his Department by Galway County Council for sanction during the current financial year; the location of such schemes; the estimated cost in each case; and the total amount approved by his Department.

Proposals in respect of advance preliminary work on Gort sewerage improvement scheme, costing an estimated £5,420, were submitted by Galway County Council and approved by me on the 14th November.

asked the Minister for Local Government when finance will be provided to Mayo County Council to enable work to start on the Charlestown/Bellaghy sewerage scheme.

I have sanctioned the loan for this scheme.
