Vol. 281 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Water Supply.

2.

asked the Minister for Lands when the Land Commission will provide a proper domestic and farm water supply for persons in a Land Commission estate (details supplied) in County Kerry.

(Cavan): One of the persons mentioned in the question has an adequate water supply from a well drilled by the Land Commission. The well drilled on the second holding, however, proved unsatisfactory and the Land Commission considered that the situation could best be met by the provision of water for that holding by means of a shared supply from the successful well.

They installed such a supply but it was not acceptable to the parties concerned one of whom has since made an alternative arrangement. The whole matter is the subject of examination by the Land Commission at present with a view to bringing it to a satisfactory conclusion.
