Vol. 282 No. 6

Excess Vote, 1972-73. - Vote 14: Secret Service.

Cavan): I move:

That a sum not exceeding £20,000 be granted to defray the charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of December, 1975, for Secret Service.

Is this the same sum as we have had for quite a number of years?

(Cavan): It seems to be. I am sure it is revolving.

The national wage agreement should apply to informers.

One wonders about it, if the sum remains the same despite inflation.

Could we be told whether all this sum has been spent?

(Cavan): I understand that usually it is not all spent.

Vote put and agreed to.
