In addition to several courses for skilled craftsmen there are eight certificate and diploma full-time courses already in operation in the Cork Regional Technical College which are relevant to the preparation of skilled personnel for the offshore gas and oil industries. More specific needs can be met by modifications and extensions of these courses. There is also a proposal under consideration for a full-time course intended to lead to a Diploma in Offshore Gas and Oil Technology.
