Vol. 285 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Galway Postman.

13.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he has made a decision regarding reinstatement of a man (name supplied) to his former position as postman in Galway.

On 13th May, 1975, when replying to a question from Deputy Molloy, I agreed, in response to a request made by the Deputy, that I would arrange to get an independent medical opinion on the health of the man concerned.

Accordingly, I arranged for his examination by two eminent doctors. The effect of their report is to support the decision already taken in regard to termination of services.
