Vol. 290 No. 2

Written Answers. - Income Tax Refund.

46.

asked the Minister for Finance when a refund of income tax will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Meath who has been out of work for nine weeks.

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the taxpayer concerned has not established title to repayment. In his return for 1975-76 which was lodged on March 9th, 1976, no claim was made for child allowance in respect of two children for whom allowances had been granted to him for 1975-76 and earlier years. If these allowances are not due, there will be an undercharge to tax for the year.
