asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware of the urgency concerning the provision of a new national school at Ballyhaunis, County Mayo; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

This new school is being designed by an architect appointed by the chairman of the school board of management.

The Commissioners of Public Works are awaiting the receipt of working drawings from the architect.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware of the urgency concerning the provision of a new national school at Swinford, County Mayo; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The chairman of the board of management of Swinford boys' national school has been authorised to engage an architect to design the new school. It will be a matter for the architect in the first instance to submit sketch plans for the proposed building to the Commissioners of Public Works.
