Vol. 294 No. 1

Written Answers. - Free Electricity.

62.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare when free electricity will be granted to a person (name supplied) in County Offaly who applied two months ago.

An application for a free electricity allowance made by the person concerned has been rejected because he failed to satisfy the condition which requires him to be living alone or only with persons of certain prescribed categories, such as, a wife, an invalided person or a dependent child. His son who resides in the household and is employed is not a person within the excepted categories. The applicant was notified of the decision by letter on 3rd November, 1976.
