asked the Minister for Local Government the reason for the delay in the payment of a new house grant to a person (name supplied) in County Limerick who applied for the grant in 1973 and reapplied through the Shanid Building Society in 1975.

Notification of completion of the houses was received through the County Council on 27th October, 1976. A final inspection has been arranged with a view to payment of the grant of £410 allocated to Shanid Building Society on 16th July, 1976. The only application in this case, on record in my Department, is dated 1st August, 1975, and was received on 13th January, 1976.
