Note: (1) The Public Bodies (Amendment) Order, 1975 made by the Minister for Local Government on 28th July, 1975 prescribed a revised format for the preparation of their estimates of expenses by rating authorities. Instead of the old service headings (Roads, Public Assistance, Sanitary Services, Housing and General Purposes) the range of services for which local authorities are responsible have been broken down into eight main programme groups which are further subdivided into programmes.

(2) The Programme Group, Road Transportation and Safety, includes road upkeep, road improvement, road traffic, administration and miscellaneous.
