No decision has been taken as to when compulsory measures will commence in County Cork for the eradication of brucellosis. Meanwhile, farmers are strongly advised in their own interests to participate fully in the voluntary pre-intensive brucellosis scheme so as to reduce the incidence of the disease before compulsory measures are introduced.
