Vol. 298 No. 5

Written Answers. - Income Tax Child Allowance.

97.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will make provision for the granting of income tax child allowance to parents in respect of girls over 16 years of age who are not engaged in a full-time educational course and who are unemployed and unqualified for social welfare assistance, having regard to the grave difficulties at present being experienced by such girls in obtaining employment.

A provision on the lines suggested would not be justified.
