Sixty-two national governing bodies of sports have applied for assistance in 1978 under the scheme of annual grants in aid of coaching, administration and equipment. Grant-aid allocation to these bodies under that scheme will be in the region of £212,000.
In addition a sum of £200,000 is being made available this year for grants towards capital costs of sports facilities. The allocation of grants from this fund has not yet been determined.
