Vol. 306 No. 4

Written Answers. - Baltimore (Cork) Pier.

212.

asked the Minister for Fisheries if he is aware of the difficulties resulting from silting, at and adjacent to, the pier at Baltimore, County Cork; and if he will take steps to have dredging operations carried out to remedy the situation.

The information at present available to me indicates that the facilities at Baltimore for the fishing boats which regularly use this port are adequate. Maintenance dredging of the harbour is a matter for the local authority.
