Vol. 310 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - South Tipperary School.

7.

asked the Minister for Education if, in respect of Hollyford school in South Tipperary, he is aware of the need for urgent repairs and provision of sanitary facilities; if he is aware of local concern on account of suggestions that this school might be closed, and of the overwhelming desire of the local population that the school be retained; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

My Department have sanctioned grants for the carrying out of necessary improvements to Hollyford national school. A report is awaited from the Commissioners of Public Works regarding the condition of the existing sanitary facilities with a view to having them improved as may be necessary.
