Vol. 312 No. 1

Written Answers. - County Donegal Harbour.

144.

asked the Minister for Fisheries the present position regarding the proposed extension and improvements at Greencastle harbour, County Donegal; when work will begin; the estimated cost, and the amount of assistance provided from EEC funds.

Site investigations are under way. When these are completed the plans and specifications will be drawn up and tenders sought. I am advised that, in view of the probable time it will take to complete the preliminaries including the seeking and placing of tenders, it is unlikely that actual work on the development scheme will commence before 1980.

As tenders for the work have yet to be invited I am not at this stage in a position to quote an estimate of the cost. Financial aid from EEC funds has not been provided.
