I received the report of the local inquiry to which the Deputy refers on 8 July 1977. Following the receipt of the report, approaches were made to both parties to this dispute with a view to reaching an amicable solution. These approaches were not effective. Further efforts are now being made to arrange a meeting, which I hope will prove successful.
