I am informed by Bord na Móna that the position in regard to supplies of briquettes as it affects Mullingar and surrounding areas is no different from the general supply position of this fuel. The growth in demand for briquettes has been such that it now exceeds the production capacities of the briquette factories. Consequently purchasers may obtain only an allocation based on the quantities they purchased in the period before demand outstripped production capacity.
