asked the Minister for Education if he will confirm that the second-level community school at Leixlip, County Kildare, will open in September 1980, when a board of management will be appointed to facilitate the early appointment of teachers, and if his attention has been drawn to the very limited number of pupil vacancies that exist in the post-primary schools in the surrounding areas where approximately 130 such vacancies are required at present.

It is intended to open the community school in Leixlip next September to cater for the 125 pupils who will be leaving the Leixlip national schools this year.
Arrangements have been initiated for setting up the board of management for the school.
