asked the Minister for Finance if he has received a request from the Corporation of Dún Laoghaire for an allocation of funds from the Tripartite Committee on Employment to enable the employment of 17 workers under the Environmental Works Programme of the corporation to continue and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The secretariat to the tripartite standing committee on employment has received from the Corporation of Dún Laoghaire a request for the allocation of moneys from the Employment Guarantee Fund for the maintenance of employment by the corporation on environmental improvement works. The request is a matter for decision by the committee and will be considered at the next meeting of the committee.

asked the Minister for Finance if he has received a request from Dublin County Council for an allocation of funds from the Tripartite Committee on Employment to enable the employment of 80 workers under the Environmental Works Programme of the Council to continue and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The secretariat to the tripartite standing committee on Employment has received from Dublin County Council a request for the allocation of moneys from the Employment Guarantee Fund for the maintenance of employment by the County Council on environmental improvement works. The request is a matter for decision by the committee and will be considered at the next meeting of the committee.
