Vol. 321 No. 1

Written Answers. - PRSI Scheme Returns.

236.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare the total number of employers who make returns under the PRSI scheme.

Collection of the fully Pay-Related Social Insurance contribution through the PAYE system commenced on April 6, 1979, and employers are required to submit to the Collector-General end-of-year returns for the first year of operation of the scheme not later than April 30, 1980.

It is estimated that something in the region of 60,000 employers will make returns for the year ended 5 April 1980.
