Delay occurred in this case by reason of the fact that the applicant's file was lost in transit to our local inspector and it was necessary to open a duplicate file. However, following a recent inspection the grant will be paid very shortly.

There has been no delay in dealing with this case. Notification of completion of work has not been received in my Department to date. As work now appears to be finished, a final inspection will be arranged as soon as possible, with a view to payment of the grant.

The final inspection necessary to establish whether payment of a house improvement grant is in order has not yet been carried out. It will be effected as soon as possible. A sewerage grant approved in this case was paid on 6 May 1980.

A £1,000 new house grant has been approved in this case. No notification was received from the applicant that the house was completed and occupied by him. However, in view of the information now given by the Deputy, an inspection is being arranged with a view to payment, provided that the grant conditions have been complied with.
