: Decisions regarding the publication of reports commissioned by bodies under the aegis of my Department are matters for the bodies themselves. I understand, however, that their normal practice is to publish reports which they consider to be of general public interest.
So far as my Department is concerned, decisions on the question of publication of commissioned reports are taken in each individual case. In general, however, the policy is to publish reports which are likely to be of general public interest.
