Vol. 326 No. 1

Written Answers. - Old Age Pensioner's Rebate.

365.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will investigate the claim of an old age pensioner (details supplied) in Dublin who is nearly seventy years of age, in receipt of pension since 1976 and entitled to a rebate of approximately £350 in respect of insurance stamps; and if he will expedite payment of the rebate.

There is difficulty in establishing the exact period for which insurance contributions were paid in respect of the person named by the Deputy after she had attained pensionable age and enquiries in the matter are continuing. In the meantime a payable order to cover the period 3 October, 1977 (the date on which she became entitled to pension) to 4 April, 1979 has been issued.
