Vol. 326 No. 7

Written Answers. - Remedial Teacher Appointments.

141.

andMr. Donegan asked the Minister for Education when he received a request from the authorities of the Sacred Heart school, Drogheda, County Louth for the appointment of a remedial teacher and for the admission of one of the teachers at present on the staff of the school to the special course for remedial teachers; the schools to which remedial teachers were appointed in the last 12 months; the conditions in those schools; and how those conditions compare with those in the Sacred Heart school, Drogheda,

I would refer the Deputies to my reply to a question on this matter on 3 February 1981.

The application for the remedial teacher was received on 22 April, 1980, and the request for a place on the remedial course on 27 May, 1980. It would not be in accordance with normal procedure to furnish information as requested in relation to other individual schools in the context of the request for a remedial teacher for the Sacred Heart school, Drogheda.
