Subject to due dates for completion of contract works, such as the installation and testing of equipment being adhered to, it is hoped to provide automatic service at the following exchanges by the end of the year: Ballintra; Buncrana; Castlefin; Donegal; Fahan; Flacarragh; Inch (to be cabled into Fahan); Inver; Killygordan; Laghey (to be cabled partly into Donegal and partly into Ballintra); Linsfort (to be cabled into Buncrana); Milford; Mountcharles; Rathmullan.
Automatic service was provided in St. Johnston on 21 January 1981.

In view of the big number involved, however, and the substantial volume of other work to be done in the county this year to improve telephone service, it is unlikely that it will be possible to provide kiosks at all these centres this year.
