Vol. 326 No. 9

Written Answers. - Knocklyon (County Dublin) School.

169.

asked the Minister for Education if his attention has been drawn to a report (details supplied) that his Department was informed by an official of Dublin County Council in September of a suitable site for a new post-primary school in the Knocklyon area, Dublin; the location of the site; the steps he is taking to acquire it; and the reason for any delay.

The Department have an arrangement for consultation with Dublin County Council on a continuing basis in relation to the selection of sites for schools.

The normal procedure is being followed for the purpose of the selection of a site for a new post-primary school in the Knocklyon area, including negotiations for the purchase of a site. It would not be appropriate for me to comment further in the matter at this stage.
