Vol. 326 No. 9

Written Answers. - Nobber (Meath) School.

175.

asked the Minister for Education when the Office of Public Works was requested to prepare sketch plans for a new national school at Nobber, County Meath; if the plans have been completed; and when he expects work on the school to commence.

The Office of Public Works were requested on 27 April 1979, to prepare sketch-plans for a new national school at Nobber, County Meath and a sketch-scheme was issued to the then chairman of the board of management in February 1980. Subsequently, the erection of the school on an alternative site was investigated at the chairman's request and I understand that this site was found to be unsuitable.

When satisfactory evidence of title to the original site has been furnished by the chairman and agreement reached on the question of local contribution to be provided, a grant will be sanctioned towards the cost of the scheme.

It is not possible to state at this stage when building work may commence.
