As it would not be possible to establish the number of loan applications which would have been received had the local authority house purchase loan and income limits not been increased with effect from 1 February 1981, the information requested is not available in my Department.
The following tabular statement which I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate with the Official Report sets out the numbers of house purchase loan applications received by each authority in the nine month periods ending on 30 September 1979 and 1980.
