asked the Minister for the Environment when the payment of a house improvement grant will be made to a person (details supplied) who has been waiting for payment for over a year.

The grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the work is eligible for a grant and has been satisfactorily completed. The inspection will be carried out as soon as possible.

(Cavan-Monaghan) asked the Minister for the Environment the date on which a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan applied for a £1,000 new house grant; if and when inspection was carried out; and when the grant will be paid.

An application was received from the person named on 17 November 1980, and further necessary documentation on 27 January 1981. The grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the dwelling has been satisfactorily completed and the other conditions applying to the grant scheme have been complied with. The inspection will be carried out as soon as possible.
