Vol. 327 No. 6

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

229.

(Cavan-Monaghan) asked the Minister for the Environment the date on which a person (details supplied) in County Cavan applied for a £1,000 new house grant; the date on which he received a set of plans in respect of the house; whether these plans were lost; the date on which his Department received a second set of plans; and when it is proposed to inspect the house and pay the grant.

An application for a grant was received from the person named on the 18 November 1980. The house plan was received on 30 January 1981 and the site plan on 10 February 1981. There is no evidence that any of the plans were lost and that another set of plans was either requested by my Department or furnished by the applicant. An inspection of the house has been arranged with a view to payment of the grant, if in order.

230.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in the payment of a new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Cork; and when payment will issue.

On the basis of the information provided, my Department are experiencing difficulty in tracing an application from the person named. If the Deputy or applicant confirms the name and address under which the application was made, the name of the builder and the location of the house, I will have a further investigation carried out.
