A grant of £42,720 has been approved in respect of the archaeological excavation at Knowth, County Meath for 1981. Advance payments totalling £3,500 have already been made and the balance will be issued as required in accordance with a formal contract to be completed between the director of the excavation and the Commissioners of Public Works.
