Vol. 328 No. 12

Written Answers. - Telephone Service.

291.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will have telephone service restored to a person (details supplied) in County Dublin.

Service will be restored within a day or so.

292.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs why there is a continuing delay in providing the telephone kiosk, the income for which has to be guaranteed by Dublin County Council, at Colecot Cottages, Lusk, County Dublin; and when he now intends to provide facilities there.

It has not been possible to provide this telephone kiosk because of the heavy commitment of personnel and resources to other aspects of the telecommunications programme. It is planned to erect it in the next month or so.

293.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone will be provided for an applicant (details supplied) in County Dublin; if telephones will be provided for applicants in this estate who applied prior to residents in a neighbouring estate (details supplied); and, if not, why.

Service will be provided for this and other applicants in the estates mentioned within the next six months or so, following the opening of a new exchange to serve the area. All will receive service about the same time.

294.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone will be installed for a person (details supplied) in County Kildare.
