I would refer the Deputy to the statements issued by the Minister for the Public Service in relation to this dispute and, in particular to the statement issued on 16 July 1981 in which the Minister urges the association involved to abide by agreed procedures for the purpose of arriving at a solution. As Minister for Education I have no function in the matter of participation in discussions undertaken in accordance with the agreed procedures.

asked the Minister for Education the subjects of the 1981 Leaving, Intermediate and Group Certificate examinations, the answer books for which are now held up in his Department; the number of candidates taking each subject; and whether the examiners' conference has been held in respect of each subject.
The statistical information requested is given in the form of a tabular statement which, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, will be circulated with the Official Report. The examiners' conferences have been held in all cases.
