asked the Taoiseach the effective weekly rate of pay of county council road workers in each county under the second phase of the National Understanding, 1980; and the effective date.

The following statement gives, for each county, the minimum weekly rates of wages paid by county councils to road workers under the Second Phase of the National Understanding, 1980. With the exception of Cork county, the rates became effective on 1 June 1981, while that for Cork county came into operation on 1 April 1981.
