Vol. 330 No. 5

Written Answers. - Offaly Schools.

506.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will sanction the proposed extension to Ballybrien national school, Edenderry, County Offaly.

A tender was accepted on 7 October 1981 for the proposed extension to Ballybrien national school, County Offaly.

507.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will allow the proposed extension to Clara girls national school, County Offaly to be submitted for tender.

Subsequent to their approval of the working drawings for the proposed extension to Clara girls national school, County Offaly, the Commissioners of Public Works were informed by the chairman of the board of management that the ground on which the extension was to be located was no longer available. Because of this it was necessary for the architects employed by the board of management to prepare fresh proposals for the extension. These are now being examined by the Commissioners who will report to the Department of Education in the matter shortly. It is too early to say when the chairman of the board of management can be authorised to invite tenders.
