asked the Minister for Industry and Energy if he will make a statement on the efforts which have been made by his Department and SFADCo to attract with job creation ideas Irish people abroad to return to Ireland to set up small or other industries; and if the programme has been successful and will be expanded.

Campaigns have been conducted in a number of centres abroad by the Industrial Development Authority and Shannon Free Airport Development Company during the past three years with the aim of attracting entrepreneurs to establish small industries in Ireland. These campaigns have resulted in the approval of 33 projects with a job potentail of 918. The scheme is being reviewed at present.
